Murdoch University Dubai Celebrates UAE National Day

Murdoch University Dubai organized an all-day event on campus on Wednesday 25 November to celebrate the 38th UAE National Day on 2 December.

In his welcome speech, Professor John Grainger, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Murdoch University in Dubai, thanked the country and the people of the UAE for their hospitality: “As part of the growing international educational community present in the UAE, Murdoch University recognises with great honour and pride the contribution that the country has made to the global community. We are grateful for the warmth and generosity shown by the Emiratis to our university, faculty and students,” he added.

The activities, organized by the Student Council, included a cake cutting ceremony and a presentation on the history of the United Arab Emirates. In the spirit of the National Day celebrations, the students and staff were also wearing their respective national dresses reflecting the richness of culture and backgrounds on campus.
